The Bantam Connector

The Bantam connector is actually the same as the TT or Tiny Telephone connector. After Western Electric/AT&T invented the so-called Phone Plug, or 'Longframe' for telephone switchboards, the company Switchcraft invented a smaller but similar connector, the Tiny Telephone connector. Later in the 60's a new company ADC, formed by former Switchcraft employees needed a new brand name for a new similar connector. They called it the Bantam connector, to not come in conflict with the Switchcraft trademarks 'Tiny Telephone' or 'TT'.

Both, the Tiny Telephone or Bantam connector and the Longframe phone connector, are the standard connectors for audio patchbays.
